All Natural Lemongrass Spray Deodorant. Liquid Crystal Aluminum Free
As the name implies, lemongrass smells just like lemons, but it is milder, sweeter, and far less sour. It is used to cleanse and detoxify the skin making it a fantastic natural deodorant.
Our spray on Liquid Crystal Deodorant can be used by both men and women! It is made of natural mineral salts which eliminate odor by leaving an invisible protective barrier. It is non-sticky, non-staining and leaves no white residue. We prefer a spray-on rather than roll-on because we think it is cleaner. When you use roll-on on containers, they pick up germs and roll back into the bottle. Our theory isn’t scientifically proven, we just tend to be OCD.
Neutralize and refresh for long lasting odor protection. Our all natural deodorant uses mineral salts and powerful essential oils to inhibit underarm bacteria and odor, naturally.

What does “aluminum-free,” mean?
It means the product does not contain aluminum chlorohydrate, aluminum chloride, aluminum hydroxybromide or aluminum zirconium—all forms of aluminum commonly used in antiperspirants and deodorants. To stop the flow of sweat to your skin’s surface, the aluminum plugs sweat ducts in the top layer of your skin stopping the natural flow of sweat to your skin’s surface. This aluminum can also be absorbed into your body where it can then build up as part of your body burden. Alzheimer’s disease and cancer are two illnesses known to be associated with aluminum exposure.
The aluminum in crystal deodorant stones is different type of aluminum, called alum. The most common form is potassium alum, also known as potassium aluminum sulfate.
Potassium alum, or potassium aluminum sulfate, is a naturally occurring mineral. It is typically found as encrustations on rocks that contain sulfide and potassium minerals in areas of weathering and oxidation. Potassium, aluminum, and sulfate are widely found in food and in the human body. Many root vegetables naturally contain these minerals. Experts say that potassium alum is made up of molecules that are said to be too large to be absorbed by your skin.
Potassium alum has a variety of uses in our world. It is used in the preparation of flour and cheese and is used in over-the-counter oral health products as an astringent. It can also be used for water clarification, seafood preservation, and my grandmother used it to keep home-made pickles crisp. You can find the powdered variety in the spice section of your grocery store (alum).
Many have found potassium alum to be an effective natural alternative deodorant. Some deodorants are sold in the solid crystal form or in a spray, like ours. It functions by inhibiting the growth of odor causing bacteria; unpleasant odor is caused by skin bacteria when we sweat. Potassium alum is not an antiperspirant active and products containing potassium alum have been found not to reduce sweat production in clinical testing.
“Aluminum in popular deodorants/antiperspirants is suspected to permeate the skin and cause breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease….”
Coffee is bad for you, drink coffee to be healthy. Coconut oil clogs your arteries, eat coconut oil every day for a healthy heart. It seems like every day a new study comes out that a product is horribly bad for us, only to find the next day it will make you healthier than you were yesterday. Experts used to think skin was a barrier to unwanted guests. You weren’t at risk of hurting your body unless something punctured the skin and created a wound. Today we know better. The skin is not necessarily a barrier, but more of a permeable layer through which chemicals pass directly into our bodies. Medications such as nicotine, fentanyl, contraceptives, nitroglycerin, and hormonal patches administers medication through the skin.
Does everything we put on our skin get absorbed into our bloodstream? Our body is way more complicated than that, so the answer is, it depends. It depends on the size of molecule. If you put a chicken bone under your arm it won’t be absorbed into your bloodstream anytime soon, but some experts say aluminum can quickly be absorbed into the skin and build up in your tissues over time. If aluminum is absorbed into your skin does aluminum cause Alzheimer’s or breast cancer?
Experts don’t agree, and we at DAYSPA don’t claim to have the answer. Many of our customers love this deodorant. While others, prefer to stay away from “alum” all together. Our stick deodorants are a great alternative. They are aluminum and baking soda free.

I started using this for everyday situations (nothing too strenuous mind you, just regular activities) and really liked the results. I've used products like Tom's Organic Deoderant which often seemed to stop working after an hour or so. This one works much better, it dries quickly and has a nice clean, fresh scent. My husband even likes to wear it on occassion because it does not stain his dress shirts.
