Zinc Balm = Natures Apothecary For Ultra-Sensitive Diaper Area
Our all natural Zinc Balm is made with zinc oxide, a tried and true mineral to help prevent and treat diaper rash. It can also be used to treat minor skin irritations (eg, cuts, burns, and scrapes, poison ivy). It works by providing a skin barrier to prevent and help heal skin irritation. Start with ultra-sensitive skin, add the chemicals and moisture of urine and stools, cover the area with a diaper that rubs back and forth, and you have diaper rash. This damaged skin is susceptible to the invasion of bacteria and yeast, which can make the rash worse. It is good to apply a protective barrier during each diaper change to prevent skin irritation.
- Helps restore the skins protective barrier
- Replaces lost moisture
- Cloth Diaper Compatibility: Not recommend with cloth diapers unless a flushable liner is used. The same qualities that create a barrier on baby’s bottom to protect from moisture create a hard to remove barrier on cloth diapers making them less absorbent.

- Junk Free Ingredients – NO harsh chemicals ever! NO ingredients we can’t pronounce: phthalates, SLS, DEA, triclosan, synthetic fragrances, glycols, dyes, phosphates, 1,4-dioxane, formaldehyde, or parabans.

We love beeswax because not only is it natural and non-toxic, it provides benefits to the skin. When applied to the skin, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness. Unlike ingredients made from petroleum, beeswax doesn’t “suffocate” the skin, and won’t clog pores.

The terpenes in tea tree oil give this versatile substance antiseptic properties that make it especially powerful for healing wounds and battling an infection. It’s even been shown in scientific research published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology in 2006 to be effective at fighting a strain of staph bacteria that is resistant to many common antibiotics. For this reason, it’s often used as a natural remedy to prevent infection in small wounds, blisters, and burns.
