Benefits of Farm to Skin Loving Ingredients

Mango Butter

Mango Butter has been used by the indigenous people of the forest regions of southeast Asia for centuries. It is rich in antioxidants and emollients as well as Vitamins A and E, it is used to soften and moisturize rough dry skin. Its natural properties are useful for treating the appearance of wrinkles and is helpful in protecting the skin from the weather and UV radiation. We use an all-natural unrefined version of mango butter so it can feel grainy at first or may look like it is beading or separating (think natural peanut butter), but melts on contact with skin. This does not change the fabulous qualities it offers.

Raspberry Seed Oil

Raspberry Seed Oil is cold pressed virgin oil and contains a high 83% of Essential Fatty Acids or EFA's, the most abundant of which are linoleic, alpha linolenic, and oleic acids. The composition of these omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids has been shown to reduce the effects of oxidative stress in skin. Red raspberry seed oil is an excellent free radical scavenger and antioxidant and a rich source Vitamin A. It also has superior anti-inflammatory properties. Red raspberry seed oil may have the potential to act as a UV-A and UV-B shield with the potential SPF between 28 - 50 for UVB and 6.5 - 7.5 for UVA. Red Raspberry Oil is a natural crop and, as such, its constituents can vary from batch to batch or harvest to harvest so may not provide consistent sunscreen protection.

Safflower Oil

Safflower Oil is the first choice for cosmetics requiring a moisturizing oil. Safflower oil is found to be ideal for improving the quality and texture of skin due to the abundance of linoleic acid. Linoleic acid combine with the sebum in human skin to unclog the pores and reduce rashes and acne. Safflower facilitates the regeneration of new skin cells. Increases the integrity of the cell membrane and is an anti-inflammatory. Excellent source of Vitamin A, D, E, and K. Helps repair scar tissue from burns, acne, and surgery. Occlusive Properties: Prevents water from leaving the skin using a protective barrier. Our safflower is grown and cold pressed in Montana and delivered to us from farmer.

Carrot Seed Oil

Carrot Macerated Oil is considered to be one of the best oils for skin care, and is suitable for all skin types, especially dry and aging skin. Carrot seed oil is a softening substance capable of lubricating the cells in the outermost layer of skin. The oil helps to restore moisture that is lost from skin due to evaporation. The healing properties of carrot seed oil also allows it to soften up the skin tissues.

Argan Oil

From the kernels of the endemic Argan tree, that is valued for its nutritive and numerous medicinal properties. Grown in North Africa and mainly in Morocco, the Argan tree grows wild in semi-desert soil, and is extremely well adapted to drought. Argan Oil is considered to be one of the rarest oils in the world due the small and very specific growing area and is under protection of UNESCO. One of the main reasons that argan oil is so healing, is that it is rich with vitamin A and vitamin E. However, argan oil is also packed with anti-oxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, and linoleic acid. Research shows that when applied to skin, it eases inflammation while moisturizing the skin.

Frankincense

Frankincense originates from a small scraggly but hardy tree indigenous to the Middle East, which is small with abundant pinnacle leaves and white or pale pink flowers. The resin begins as a fragrant sticky milky-white liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when cut. The dried tears are collected, and the resin is then distilled, producing the precious oil. It is used as incense, and has been traded for 5,000 years. Widely used in ancient Egypt, it was one of the ingredients used in the holy oil described in the Talmud. Frankincense was brought back to Europe by Frankish Crusaders (Frank-incense), and the oil is still highly prized today in the perfumery industry and has anti-inflammatory characteristics

Myrrh

Though classified as a shrub, Myrrh can grow up to 30 feet in height. The trunk exudes a natural oleo resin that hardens into what is classified as reddish brown 'tears'. Local collectors make incisions into the trees in order to increase the yield. Called mo yao in China, it has been used since at least 600 BC it has been used for centuries as an ingredient in incense, perfume and improving appearance of skin.

I really like this product, but sometimes it is hard to not put too much on which makes my face look greasy.
